RUSSIAN SAMBO (4)
=================

Weapon of choice: Grabs and fists

Description: Russian Sambo (aka. Sombo) wrestling is a composite style of jacket wrestling originally developed in Russia to serve as a common form of sport wrestling. It was also used as a form of hand-to-hand combat preparation and training by Soviet military. Russian Sambo today is practiced in two flavors: Sport Russian Sambo and Combat Russian Sambo, a method of self-defense training. The combat style of Russian Sambo seems to fall more into the old school self defense category.

Special: Due the training, all Sambo Fighter has a 1 die bonus to break free from opponent?s grab move. The real TH to break a grab applied by a Sambo fighter is considered 1 press move higher than normal. This Special feature doesn?t apply if both fighters are using Sambo.

Just a couple of notes:

Escape is a full-round action and cannot be used in a sequence; I suggest substituting Spin in the Sambo sequences that list Escape.

For Leglock, while the PR for multiple levels of pin isn't directly able to be derived, most other leveled payoffs are their normal rating per level, which would make Pin 3 PR 15 (plus 2 for trip).  Of course, it's not like they list a Pin 2 or more payoff.

minor stuff:
Thunder Strike is listed as TH 6 but only has 5 moves...  (add another Press at the end or TH 5?)

Lightning Strike is PR 7: daze; Daze is normally PR 5.

I'd probably also make the Sambo special a rank 1 edge, since it goes beyond what is typically part of a fighting style.

But overall, very nice.

I've been looking at the excellent styles created here. many thanks to Dmitr Scull for the explanation to ceate fighting styles.

I have one change I would suggest to TAE-KWON-DO (3).

Keeping in mind that foot and leg techniques are dominant in Tae Kwon do.

TH /? Name / Moves / PR / PAYOFF ?
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6/Triple Kick/Power + R Kick + L Kick + Power + Spin +  R Kick/9/Add +15 damage, Stun

The fist strike takes away a bit of the feeling of tae kwon do, a kick strike feels right.

I also have a few suggestion to the Sambo Style.

Special: Due the training, all Sambo Fighter has a 1 die bonus to break free from opponent?s grab move. The real TH to break a grab applied by a Sambo fighter is considered 1 press move higher than normal. This Special feature doesn´t apply if both fighters are using Sambo.  This is an edge Edge that an Sambo figher can buy!

TH/Name/Moves/PR/PAYOFF

5/Perestroyka/ Spin + Dash + Jump + Ready + Kick Strike/8/Trip, Daze

6/Reversal/ Spin + Ready + Power + Fist Strike + Grab + Press/6/Stun

Start with the spin move as suggested by Dmitri Scull makes a lot of sense.

I've ttried to make my own style: Karate.

================
KARATE (4)?
================

Weapon of choice: Fists and Kicks

Description: Karate means empty-hand or China Hand. Both hand and kicking techniques are common in this japanese martial art. You can practise sport karate or/ and as a self defense. Training can be done by your own, in group or with a sparring partner. Many karate dojos amplifies on Kihon (base techniques) and katas (traditional choreographed patterns of movements practiced either solo, in pairs or in large groups). There is also something called dojo fighting which you practice semi-full contact fighting with a partner.

Special: Kneekick is short attack for a kick strike.

TH /? Name / Moves / PR / PAYOFF ?
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2/Fist-Kick/L Fist Strike + R Kick Strike /1/Add +5 damage

3/Front Kick/Power + Kick Strike + Press/2/Add + 5 damage, Push

3/Sanbon/R Fist Strike + L Fist Strike + R Fist Strike/2/Add + 10 damage

4/Low Kick/Power + Power + Power + Kick Strike/5/Add + 10 damage,  disadvantage (physical) 3

4/Knee Attacks/Grab + Kneekick + Power + Kneekick /6/Stun

5/Counter Attack/Fist Block + Fist Block + Ready + Power + Fist Strike/2/Add +10 damage

5/Axe Kick/Ready + L Kick Strike + Jump + Power + R Kick Strike/8/Daze, Knockout

6/Taikyoku sono Ni (kata)/Fist Strike I + Side Step + Fist Strike II + Side Step + Fist Strike III + Fist Strike III /9/Knockout, Stun

What do you think about my ideas?
