Dr William Gilbert Grace played cricket for Gloucestershire and England. He was only 16 when he started playing in 1864 and played his final first class match in 1908. Grace is without doubt the finest cricketer of all time. He scored 54,896 runs, and is still the 5th highest scoring player of all time. He also took 2876 wickets, making him the 6th highest wicket taker of all time. In 1873 and 1876 he scored 2000 runs and took 100 wickets in one season. He also made 887 catches which is still the second highest number of catches taken by anyone in their career.
WG Grace’s favorite practice bat with which he warmed up before every international match is today proudly displayed in the Executive Restaurant of the Oval Cricket Pavilion in Kennington London.
The bat absorbed an amazing amount of karma just by being handled by Dr Grace and being present at many of his great sporting triumphs. The awakening of karma in London caused magical energies to stir within the bat.
Powers
Six!: Missiles hit by the bat can reach almost supersonic velocities. This means that it can be easily used as a weapon, able to propel cricket balls and even stones like bullets at targets. Many Freemasons and members of the Gehenna Consortium eat in the restaurant enjoying both a fine meal and an unprecedented view of the action on the cricket pitch, so it’s only a matter of time before the powers of the bat get noticed.
